That rustic brown colour will only get better with age and wear. It’s windproof, shrugs off a bit of rain, and has a drier handle than traditional wax so it won’t leave your other layers feeling like a greasy bag of chips. To the touch it feels cool and substantial, with a subtle waxy sheen and a peach-like surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eInside, things get really special.\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lining is a beautiful recycled wool cloth from Mallalieus, just down the road from us in Delph. It’s 100% wool too - not one of those half-and-half polyester knock-offs. This is the kind of fabric you’d normally expect to see on the outside of a garment - it really is that good - but we’ve put it on the inside because the Rascal Vest isn’t just a façade for looking good. It’s made to be the best it can be all the way through. A pleasure to put on every time. We’ve got a couple of vintage examples in our collection and they gave us plenty of ideas to work with. We get all the weather on the Pennines. Temperatures go up and down. We wanted something jacket-length that could be worn over the warmer layers of the HebTroCo wardrobe.
