Nature Spirit Two Ton Tee Black

HebTroCo is deeply connected to its home here in the Calder Valley. We take our design cues from the surrounding environment - a landscape carved by water, weather and industry, a place that has shaped lives and livelihoods for centuries. It felt natural to collaborate with a local artist whose work speaks the same visual language of land, texture and folklore.
It all started in the pub (as many good stories do). At The Fox & Goose in Hebden Bridge where Ed clocked a tapestry by Adam Higton on the wall. There was something in it: bold, fun, symbolic, rooted. Adam came to visit our unit, to understand how we work and what we’re about before sending him off to interpret things in his own way.
The character is a nature spirit. Representing nature and the outdoors. Sun, trees, bark, soil. Part folklore, part landscape, part graphic totem. Adam’s artwork has evolved from its original lo-fi, collage form into something ready to be worn. The textures may have shifted from paper cutouts to ink on cotton, but the spirit remains intact.
